=VX9=’s New ARK SE Server:
Fenrir’s Foothills by =VX9=
As some of you may know we started a =VX9= ARK server based on The Island map in early June named The Blood Plains by =VX9=. We decided that we wanted to provide a very fun and unique experience with ARK for current and future =VX9= members. We just opened our 2
nd ARK server using the newly made official “Ragnarok” map. This new map contains elements of ARK and ARK’s expansion Scorched Earth.

However, it doesn’t stop there. We linked the two servers together with ARK’s Cross-ARK system. This allows you to play as one character on both servers and to transfer yourself (with items) or a dino (NO items, NO saddle it will be destroyed, the dinos also only last 24hrs in the transfer storage). You won’t need to have two characters (unless you really want to, I cannot tell you how this would work). It also means you will be able to learn Scorched Earth recipes and tame dinos unique to Ragnarok and bring them back to the Island or vice versa. Each server is unique, each has the same settings and the same mods. Tribes are independent between the servers. This ensures that Cross-ARK transfers are safe and are able to be accomplished simply.

Here is what you need to know about Cross-ARK:
- Ability to transfer player’s character in either direction from either the Blood Plains (The Island map) or Fenrir’s Foothills (Ragnarok map). Players may carry items and those will be retained when transferring. Level, engram points and all associated character data is saved. Tribes are NOT saved as they are server dependent. If in tribe A on Blood Plains, you won’t have a tribe on Fenrir’s Foothills unless you create one. This will NOT have an effect on moving either yourself or dino between servers.
- Ability to transfer dinosaurs between maps. NOTE: You cannot transfer ANY item in ANY slot with a dinosaur. They will exist for 24hrs in the transfer system. If you forget them there and 24 hrs pass, they’re gone. There is also a short, 5 minute cooldown on transferring dinos to and from a server. If you uploaded and transferred the wrong dino and realized it after you loaded into the new map you can wait 5 minutes and re-upload and reverse the process.
- Here is how the process works
- Go to any obelisk (recommended) or beacon and you’ll be presented with an option in the center of the screen to travel to a new ARK server. Click that to begin the player transfer.
- You will be presented with the list which has the =VX9= servers listed. Select the opposite server you want to go to and click Join Server with Survivor.
- For dino transfers look to the top right and you’ll see a Creatures tab. This will list all the tamed creatures around the obelisk within range to transfer. Click which dino you want to upload (Make sure you have nothing on the dino). It will exist in the transfer system for 24 hrs. After you select the dino, click the top right Upload button. You’ll then need to go transfer your character to the other server and download the dino from the same Creature tab.
