Start Time: 8 PM EST (Pre-game/Companies)
    9 PM EST (Community Event)

    Welcome back, everyone!

This post marks the return of Drunken Battle Friday! To mark our return, we're going to focus on DBF as a community this week, but with pickup games still available. We'll get back in the full swing of company-focused events on the 28th, but we're glad to have everyone back!

    Community DBF Event

This week, we're going to be doing a large Cards Against Humanity game! It's open to everyone in the community, and the details can be found here:

For this special Community Event, we will have a new prize up for grabs: a new =VX9= t-shirt! Want to have a shot at winning this cool prize! Show up at 9 PM EST to get in on the action! All details on how to join are linked in the above post.

    Company Events

With this week's focus being primarily on getting together as a community, we have not set any dedicated events for this week. However, each company can set up pickup games or lounges if Cards Against Humanity is not your cup of tea....or beer.....or whatever you're drinking. Company-specific prizes will be awarded in the form of OTC, and I will also set up some forum raffles for you to participate in for those who can't make it. If you wish to set up a company lounge or host some pickup games for your company the night of the event, please talk to me on TS and I will get you the prize info accordingly. Everyone will have a shot at prizes.

    Final Notes

We are happy to have you all back! We're excited to be bringing back a =VX9= tradition, and are looking forward to getting back into things full-swing! However, these events don't run themselves, and we would appreciate volunteers. If you have a creative mind and want to help coordinate your Company's DBF events, please contact me or your CO/XO, and we can get you started! Since we're starting back, we're still waking up the old guard, so anyone who would like to help is VERY appreciated.

Start time is at the top of the post. Raffle is below. Will see you all there!!!

This week's prize is a simple prize of 25 OTC. Numbers for the raffle are 1-45.
Please post your number below, and the winner will be drawn by Sunday!

YOU HEARD IT HERE, FOLKS! Drunken Battle Friday has been down and out for a while, but we're back! Papers have been shuffled, the bar has been polished, and it's time to re-open! We'll start swinging this Friday, with the return of prizes, games, community raffles, and a whole host of new stuff! It's not going to be dropped on you all at once, mind you, but we're gonna get this party started again!

Wait, what's that? Some of you don't know what DBF is? Well, allow me to explain. See, we've had this event for a while, but it kinda disappeared for a while. You see, every Friday we used to get together with our respective companies, play whatever silly games or contests we came up with for that week, shoot the breeze, and get free stuff (prizes)! It's something we've been sorely needing lately, and we're now bringing it back in full swing!

Oh. Speaking of, if you're interested in helping out with planning your company's Drunken Battle Friday, drop either your company's CO/XO or myself a line, and we'll get you in the right direction.

Bring on the beer, folks, 'cause this revival will be great!

Official post with the company events will be posted by Wednesday, 2/19 with this week's details. Stay tuned!

This has to be one of the hardest things I have ever typed in my time with this community, but as most of you know, Mike passed away in his sleep Monday from a sudden heart attack. Mike was not only a very active member in zulu Company, but an active member in the community at large. He did a lot of work behind the scenes as well as in front, and was a warm face here in Zulu. His sudden passing is an absolute shell-shock for everyone here. So instead of our normal DBF activities, this Friday's DBF will be our own in-house memorial service for Mike.

We will spend the night doing things Mike's way. We will play the games he played, and if able, play the things he liked to play in those games. We'll spend the night talking about him, and how he was, and sharing our memories and stories of our time with him. We will drink in his name and make sure that he is not forgotten. The community remembers its own, and Mike was definitely an amazing person among us. If you have stories to share, we will have a formal session before the official games begin, so if you want to air it then, you can. If not, we can talk throughout the night about it.

All companies are welcome to attend, and it will not be limited to just Zulu games. We will honor Mike in all of our own ways, and deal with it together.

May he rest in peace, and never be forgotten.

DBF will start at 8 PM EST.

    Drunken Battle Friday
    February 22nd

    Division Night/Cards Against Humanity

    20:00 EST (8 PM EST)
Ends: 22:30 EST (10:30 PM EST)

*static* Is.....does this thing still work? Hello? OK, it still works. Well guys, I've had way more than enough time to sort my shit out, so we can finally get back to our regularly-scheduled programming! Starting this week, we'll be holding our official Drunken Battle Friday events again! There's going to be some old things some of you may recognize and remember, but there's new stuff coming too. I will be making sure that our DBF posts happen every week, ideally by Wednesday night, so expect to see more about it as the week progresses.

    What is DBF?

I forget, there's a lot of new blood, and since I haven't been doing my job properly, you probably haven't even realized this is a thing. Well, lemme explain it for you. DBF (Drunken Battle Friday) is a community-wide event that happens every week. We get together on Friday nights, play games based on our respective divisions, drink, party, and have an all-around good time. There are contests and prizes that are handed out, and everyone wins!

Prizes, unlike they used to be, are now our OTC. With OTC, you can bank them and choose your own prizes, instead of hoping what you want ends up as a prize for the week. I'll have to re-confirm the amounts with the higher-ups, so stay tuned for that. We will be having raffles, possibly, or depending on how I feel, we may have certain in-game challenges to do in order to earn prizes. We shall see.

    New Stuff:

    - Next week I will be trying to push some new graphics and a new DBF post format to make it more.....nice. Expect a format change here, but the events will stay the same.

    - On certain nights, we will integrate some silly game, such as Cards Against Humanity, as a filler or supplement to give everyone a short break.

    - OTC will be the default prizes, but there may be some physical swag depending on what I can have prepared for everyone. The physical swag will be from personal stock.

    - We will be doing spotlights/small shoutouts each week. If you want a message to appear in the DBF post as a random shoutout, PM it to me and I'll try to integrate it into the list.

    - Stay tuned for more updates.

Drunken Battle Friday - August 18th
    Drop-In Night

    20:00 EST (8 PM EST)
Ends: 22:30 EST (10:30 PM EST)

    Drop-In Night: Same, But Different?

Due to having fewer people active right now due to the summer slump (as well as WG's screwups lately), we're gonna keep it simple for a while. By now you guys should know how drop-ins work. Same old thing. Everyone chooses a tank of one tier, we all count in as dictated by the event leader, then watch the fun happen! There is no specific tank you need for this. Whatever you happen to have is just fine with us! Come on out!

As most of you know by now, Dancing is pregnant. She's nearing the end of her pregnancy, so as it gets closer (and then for a while after), my free time is going to be too precious and, as such, I will not be able to run DBF for a while. Because of this, I am looking for at least 2 people to run the events in my stead. If you are interested, either PM me here on the forums or talk to me on TeamSpeak.

    Event Prizes
As is our usual, we have two prizes to give out during the event itself. The prizes in question are random. I will let you know when the event starts. I have no idea what they are, and they're completely random, so you never know what you'll get. But hey, everyone loves free games, right?

    This Week's Raffle Numbers

The number selection this week is 1-30. You have until 11:59 PM Sunday (8/20) to enter a raffle number. The winner will be picked during the following week's DBF post.

Hope to see all of you there! Don't forget the drinks!

    1. World of Tanks

Drunken Battle Friday - July 14th
    Bag & Tag: [TARGET UNKNOWN]

    20:00 EST (8 PM EST)
Ends: 22:30 EST (10:30 PM EST)

You Choose the Target, I Choose the Mayhem

This time, I'm not gonna select a nation for you to hunt. You get to do that. But what's gonna make this different is...based on which nation you choose, different things can happen. What's more, the nations (and the effects) may change throughout the night. I'm not gonna reveal what these are until you make your choice. =3

This event is simple, and it's a crossover game. It doesn't matter whether you're in World of Tanks or World of Warships at the time. Both games qualify for the hunt. Like the title implies, everyone's hunting for a specific set of tanks. If you kill one of the target tanks, you earn a point. Likewise, if you sink a target ship, you earn a point. Just remember to claim it out loud when you do, otherwise it won't be counted on your record. Whoever claims the most target kills at the end of the night will win a prize. Second place will also win a prize. Simple enough? Good. Happy hunting!

Oh. Platoons are allowed, technically speaking. Just know it's scored individually, so while the help might be nice, you also have 2 more people competing against you.

    Side Game
For a side game, I may host a few rounds of Cards Against Humanity as well....just to keep the fun going. You can't earn anything through playing this, but it should be fun.

    Event Prizes
As is our usual, we have two prizes to give out during the event itself. This week, the prizes are a mystery. They will be decided on at the start of DBF, but there is always the usual raffle. This time it's completely random!

    Last Week's Raffle/This Week's Raffle Numbers
Congratulations to hscott for winning last week's raffle! Your prize is one of our New =VX9= Decals. You may claim your prize here.

The number selection this week is 100-130. You have until 11:59 PM Sunday (7/16) to enter a raffle number. The winner will be picked during the following week's DBF post.

Hope to see all of you there! Don't forget the drinks!
